About us

Northern Hope is a small boutique winery, established in 2017 by Richard and Samantha Edwards. We're located in Lancefield, Macedon ranges, 80km's North of Melbourne.

We're still in our infancy as a vineyard but incredibly passionate about crafting a selection of wines that will truly reflect the soils and climate of the Macedon Ranges.

Vineyard & Terroir

Macedon Ranges provides outstanding cool climate Pinot Noir growing conditions. Handpicked at optimal ripeness, the 2017 vintage bouquet is filled with subtle spice and finishes with mouth filling complexity. 

Winemaking & Aging

Our production for the 2017 vintage was just over 1 tonne per acre, a final production of approx. 1300 bottles. Picked on the 14th of March, the fruit was destemmed (20% whole bunch) and placed in open vats to cold soak for 5 days. Grapes were fermented in open vats, basket pressed and transferred into French oak barrels.
