About us

Chateau Margene is a boutique, micro winery located within the Paso Robles AVA. The first wine produced was our 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon. Extreme viticulture practices are used to grow superior quality grapes that are hand picked, hand sorted and then gently moved through our gravity flow processing system. Average lot sizes range from 100 to 500 cases with a total annual production of 2,500 cases.

Vineyard & Terroir

9 acre estate vineyard located in the Creston District AVA, within the Paso Robles AVA.  Cabernet Sauvignon Clones 337, 4 & 8.  Cabernet Franc Clone 4 & Merlot Clone 3.  Grapes are also required from 3 other vineyards within the Paso Robles AVA and 3 vineyards within the Santa Lucia Highlands where we source our Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for the Mooney Family label (www.mooneyfamilywines.com)
