About us

Under new ownership as of April 2014, we are proud to be part of a new type of tasting room experience. We offer traditional wine tasting, as well as wine by the glass or bottle. We also offer draft beer and a select menu of small plates, salads, and desserts. We have outdoor tables, bocce ball, and fire pits during the summer. Our wines as well as our tasting room are beautifully crafted. Plan to stop in and see us next time you're in the area. We look forward to meeting you!

History

2Hawk Vineyard and Winery is named after the two hawks that have soared over the estate and the vineyard since its original planting. 2Hawk sits squarely in the middle of the unique microclimate of Southern Oregon. The dry, hot summer days are quickly cooled in the afternoon with a refreshing breeze that might frustrate the golfers at nearby Centennial Golf course, but truly delights the vines on their 23.5-acre vineyard.

2Hawk’s vineyard was first established in 2009, and the tasting room was completed late in 2012. In March of 2014, Ross and Jennifer Allen purchased the vineyard and winery from the original owners. Ross is originally from Fresno County, California, where he has been a leader in sustainable farming practices resulting in numerous awards for yields and quality products over the last 30 years. He is very excited to be able to apply his vast knowledge of agriculture to the 2Hawk vineyard, and to grow some of the best wine grapes available in the Rogue Valley.

Jennifer Allen is a native of Humboldt County, California. Her background is one of customer service and business operations. Her skills are put to use overseeing the operation of 2Hawk’s Tasting Room. Customers are usually happy if they meet happy employees. That being said, at 2Hawk we will always strive to present you, our valued patrons, not only with wonderful wines to delight your senses, but also with a warm, gracious, and knowledgeable staff.

When they aren’t running the vineyard and tasting room, Ross and Jen enjoy spending time outdoors; horseback riding; organic gardening, spending time with family, friends, and their beloved dog Melvin; and traveling.

Vineyard & Terroir

Our vineyards span just under 25 acres.  We have 12 varietals planted in 13 separate blocks.  We experience hot days and cool evenings during the summer.  

Winemaking & Aging

Our state of the art 14,000 square foot facility is outfitted with every tool our winemaker Kiley Evans needs to make the best wine in the Rogue Valley.  We utilize a minimalist, sustainable approach to wine making whenever possible.  Featuring antimicrobial flooring, gravity flow systems, and solar power integration our facility is top of the line.  With dedicated processing lines for luxury-quality white and red wines we craft ultra premium products for our wine club and the public to enjoy.  

At The Winery

Our 80 acre estate is located just outside Medford, OR.  Just minutes off I-5 our tasting room is nested right in front of our winery and surrounded by our vineyard.  Our staff is happy to share our wines with you whether it be in a tasting, by the glass, by the bottle, or paired up with some of our delightful wine accompaniments.

Our Wine Club

Enjoy Exclusive Member-Only Wine Releases, Release Parties, and Wine Discounts

2Hawk Wine Club is a semi -annual wine club. Each May and November we will make available our best wines for our members enjoyment.

Members have a choice to either have their wines shipped to them or to pick them up at the winery. 2Hawk will offer complimentary hors d’oeurves and tasting to our members on these two special occasions.

Membership is offered at two levels, The Falcon Club, and The Red-Tail Hawk Club, each with its own full array of club member benefits. Please view our brochure for a detailed list of all benefits. There is also a membership application in the brochure to fill out, drop off, or mail in.
