At first sight, you see the rich, dark color produced by the smaller berries in the 2018 vintage. In the glass, the wine exhibits a bouquet of blackberries and creme de cassis with a dusty undertone of black volcanic soil. On the palate, the wine exhibits firm tannins from the start with underlying notes of dark blackberry and black currant fruit which are focused in the center of the palate. The wine finishes with hints of tobacco along a deep, dark layer of fruit and grippy tannins which provide structure to the finish and ageability to the wine. Cellar for 5-7 years and enjoy for 20+ years.
