About us

Bodegas Arrayán was founded in 1999 as a personal project of entrepreneur José María Entrecanales and his wife, María Marsans, on their estate, La Verdosa, which is located in Santa Cruz de Retamar, Toledo, Spain.

It arose from its founders' dream of creating a vineyard that uses innovative viticulture techniques in perfect harmony with the ecosystem of the Mediterranean dehesa woodland to create high-quality wines with a strong personality.

In 2009, Maite Sánchez joined the company as its oenologist, and Arrayán began looking for old vines in the area with a view to adding autochthonous varieties to its range.

The winery currently produces nine wines, six from the estate, plus two Garnachas from Gredos and an Albillo Real from Almorox.
